Actually, this statement is a bit simplistic and ignores the FACTS that Biden’s campaign was in the dumpster before the South Carolina primary and Rep. Jim Clyburn’s tearful plea to black voters to support Joe. At that time, Bernie Sanders was leading heavily and had the most money, backed only by small donations, and was scaring the pants off the neo-liberal DNC. Heaven forbid, there should be a REAL Democratic progressive candidate! So the DNC and Barak Obama (behind the scenes) undercut the progressives and convinced the other primary candidates to drop out en mass and support Biden to block Bernie. That is NOT how elections are supposed to work. Another error is that Biden is the nominee. No, not yet. Not until the convention. The delegates could broker a new candidate and leave Biden to his retirement.

Lastly, do not blame the progressive voters for another Trump election. Blame the DNC for putting up a weak candidate, a neo-liberal candidate, a man who is already consulting with people that don’t give a rat’s ass for working people e.g. Larry Summers. The DNC is willing to lose the election to Trump rather than back a candidate who already has proposed a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, immigrant rights, women’s reproductive rights, social justice for all minorities, etc. Think about that. They’d rather lose to Trump then disturb the status quo of the 1%.

From your photo, you look young. I’m not, so I’ve seen the Democratic Party do this bait and switch dance since the McGovern election in 1972. I’m done with their dog and pony show. This time the DNC has to EARN my vote as a progressive. They won’t get it again unless they get real and pick a progressive as a candidate. Full stop. If they continue with Biden without a strong progressive veep (Warren is the only one with the political chops and bone deep desire to reform American), then I let the process go its way.
