The quote at the top of the article says it all. As a 60ish widow who has taken care of 3 children, grandchildren, and an aging mother, I can see how it makes women very wary about having a live-in relationship with someone they’re dating. As my wise, 70ish hair dresser said to me, “I don’t want to babysit an old man and then die.”

Nothing against older men, I’ve been dating, traveling, and having a grand old time with a wonderful guy I met on the Plenty of Fish website. But living together? Hmmm, no. What was done on impulse in my youth seems a bit chancy in my rockin’ silver years.
